Camiss Productions respects the privacy of users of River by Nubian Beats ("River"). River is designed as a local-first music application. This Privacy Policy explains what information River accesses, stores, and transmits, and how that information is handled.
River may access information necessary to provide its music playback, library management, and device-linking features.
When you choose music folders or files for use with River, the application may access and process information including:
This information is primarily processed and stored locally on your device.
River does not automatically upload your personal music library or listening history to Camiss Productions or Nubian Beats.
River stores information required for operation on the user's Windows device. This may include the local music-library index, application settings, playback/session information, River Link configuration, device identifiers, cached artwork, and diagnostic logs.
This information is used to provide River's functionality and is not automatically transmitted to Camiss Productions or Nubian Beats.
Removing River may not necessarily remove every user-created or application-data file, depending on Windows application-management behavior and the version of River installed.
River includes River Link, a feature that allows compatible devices running River to discover and communicate with one another over a local network.
River Link may use or transmit information over the local network including:
When a user chooses to send a music track to a paired River Link device, River may transmit information associated with that track, such as its title, artist, album, genre, duration, and the selected audio file itself.
River Link communication occurs between devices on the user's local network. This information is not automatically sent to Camiss Productions or Nubian Beats.
Users should only pair with devices they recognize and trust.
The current version of River does not require a Nubian Beats account to use its primary local music-player functionality.
The current release does not automatically transmit your music library, listening history, diagnostic logs, or River Link information to a Camiss Productions or Nubian Beats cloud service.
River may contain links to websites, email addresses, support resources, or other external services. Opening these links may launch your default web browser, email application, or another application. Those external services are governed by their own privacy policies.
Future versions of River may introduce optional online services. This Privacy Policy will be updated as necessary when such functionality becomes available.
River may contain interfaces or features associated with Nubian Verse, an intended social and music-sharing experience.
In the current release, Nubian Verse does not operate as a live cloud-based social network and does not upload user accounts, music files, or personal information to a Nubian Verse service.
If future versions introduce online accounts, social interaction, content sharing, cloud synchronization, or other Nubian Verse services that process personal information remotely, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain those practices.
The current version of River does not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, remote telemetry services, or cloud-based crash-reporting services.
Application diagnostic information may be recorded locally to assist with troubleshooting.
River does not currently automatically transmit these diagnostic logs to Camiss Productions or Nubian Beats.
River does not currently use advertising networks or advertising trackers.
Camiss Productions does not sell River user information to advertisers.
River may integrate with Windows features to provide functions such as media controls and Now Playing information.
Information such as the current track title, artist, album, or artwork may therefore be made available to Windows for features such as system media controls, media keys, connected audio devices, or Windows playback interfaces.
This processing occurs through the user's operating system and does not constitute an automatic upload of the user's music library to Camiss Productions.
Users control which music files and folders are added to River.
Where available, users may also control River Link functionality and whether their device is discoverable to other compatible devices on the local network.
Sending a music file through River Link requires a user action and communication with a paired device.
Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate rights or permission to transfer files they choose to share.
Camiss Productions does not currently sell, rent, or automatically transmit River users' personal music libraries, listening histories, or local diagnostic information to third parties.
Information may be transmitted directly between devices when the user uses River Link or another user-initiated sharing feature.
Camiss Productions may also disclose information where required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, to the extent that Camiss Productions actually possesses such information.
Because much of River's information is stored locally, Camiss Productions may not have access to that information.
River is designed to minimize unnecessary collection and transmission of personal information by keeping core music-library and playback information on the user's device.
Users should nevertheless take reasonable precautions when using local-network sharing features and should only connect River Link to devices and networks they trust.
No software or network communication method can guarantee absolute security.
River is a general-purpose music application and is not specifically designed to collect personal information from children.
The current version does not provide a cloud account system through which Camiss Productions knowingly collects personal information from children.
If future online or social features change these practices, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
River is under active development, and its functionality may change over time.
Future releases may introduce features such as Nubian Verse, Nubian Beats account integration, cloud catalogue services, synchronization, expanded River Link capabilities, or other online functionality.
When a new feature materially changes how personal information is accessed, collected, transmitted, stored, or shared, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
The effective date shown at the top of this policy indicates when the policy was last revised.
